Installed pipes, question
Just installed 2-1-2 headpipe and mufflers. First brand new set I have installed. Fired bike up for first time and noticed smoke coming from around oxygen sensors. I assume that is normal. Maybe from the anti-seize that I put oxygen sensor threads. Just wondering if this is normal. I guess pipes need to burn off the newness. I thought they would kinda smoke all over on first run

Fuel moto.... rush... vance and hines.... rienhart.... they all do that until you burn off the chemicals from manufacturing. Those are just the ones i have installed. All normal. Just make sure all the oils are off the chrome and areas you don't want to discolor before you get them hot.

They sound awesome. Good deep sound, nice at idle. Twisted throttle a little and the competition baffles really come to life. Just wish it was warm enough to take it for spin. Cold here in western North Carolina. Plus been sick as crap this week. Probably don't need any wind in my face. Tomorrow to install Fuel Moto air cleaner and powervison. I can't wait for it to warm up. Come on spring!!!

As mentioned above you can try to reuse them but they are designed to be used once. If they are on the pipes and you are just removing the exhaust to fix something without removing the clamps entirely you can get them to work most times.
