Low Profile Antennas
#41
I received my Rydonair 7" antenna yesterday and took it out for a test ride. With the stock antenna the FM station I listen to would start cutting out at 100 km from the gas station I fill up at in town and would be completely unusable by 105 km. With the new 7" antenna I noticed it started to fade a bit in some valleys starting at 90 km, not cutting out but was getting weaker. At 95 km it was cutting out in valleys and at 100 km it was unusable. So basically I lost about 5% range by this. I wasn't expecting it to do as good as it did. My plan was only to use it with my tour-pak I ordered but it works good enough I will leave it on all the time.

Here is the one I got. It comes with a rubber ring but no instructions. I quickly figured out the rubber ring goes on first so as it compresses you can line up the angled tip inline with your bike. It gives a range of adjustment without fear of it coming loose.
They also have a 9" that costs less. I don't know if it is better or worse.
