Had my TK with the 6.5 in for it's 5k service and infotainment issues - audio cutting out completely, controls freezing. No pattern, completely random, happens just rolling down the road every couple of hours. Only way to reset is to pull over to the side of the road, turn IGN off, let CANBUS de-energize, then power back up.
Milwaukee is telling my dealer they will not replace the radio because - get this - EVERY incident like this they've investigated is OPERATOR ERROR!
So, apparently it is OPERATOR ERROR to listen to the radio while rolling down the road.
I know the feeling I bought 2014 FLHTK in August. The only way I have been able to get the motor companies attention is to video the defect. I have sent 8 thru my dealer to the mother ship. I have been told to live with it they will figure out a fix eventually. I know a replacement should be a fix. I had mine replaced in November most of the issues still exist.

They want me to video the lock-up events, too - the random, unpredictable, rolling down the road lock-up events. Sure, buy me a GoPro camera with a bucket load of SD cards and I'll get right on that....

Ok - I might buy "operator error". But -Tell me exactly what "operator error" you have identified in the past that causes this, then it might add credibility to their statement.

I would raise hell with your dealer and if that doesn't work have them give you the phone number for Harley complaints and give them a piece of your mind. You can also do a lemon law threat.
if you do these 2 things you should get there attention
1. talk with them about the lemon law
2. Tell your dealer to give you the Harley complaint number. A complaint looks really bad on there end so they should try and work it out.
Oh yeah - great advice. That will make them really want to go out of their way and help you with your problem. Customer relations number is in the owners manual.

Lemon law?? Do you really think the lemon law covers a sound system?? I would be surprised if it did since it has nothing to do with the operation of the motorcycle or safety issues etc. You'd have to read that one REAL carefully.
Boy I'm glad I didn't spend the money to get the Special. It sounds like a bunch of people are having issues with the 6.5" system. Hope they get the bugs worked out soon for you guys.

I'm a bit pizzed.......
Of course, it doesn't end here.
I see you're in Castle Rock. Are you going to Mile High or Rocky Mountain by chance? I'm in SouthEast Denver and I go to Sun, up North. I've had some great luck, customer service wise. They seem to try prett hard to satisfy their customers.
