Hey folks,

I'm originally from Hawthorne, NJ. Moved to SC 12 yrs ago and within 3-4weeks will be living back in Hawthorne.

Once my family and I get settled, I'd be interested in going on some rides.

I have been up there for 4 weeks riding a borrowed sporty. Think "Mogilla Gorilla". lol My bud and I rode up to Newburgh and visited the new m/c museum up there.

Riding on the thruway for a bit, on an very unfamiliar bike had me a little nervous as it's night and day to where I have been riding for the last 12yrs.

I did really enjoy eating and having a cold one at Rhodes bar n Grill in Tuxedo, NY (I think that was tuxedo). Was disheartening to see the Red Apple Rest was long gone. Some good memories of making that place a stop on many rides.

I don't drink a lot as I am type II diabetic. I do enjoy a cold one on a rare occasion. I don't have any other 'extra curricular' activities. Never have.

I dig southern rock to speed/death/black metal.

Anyway, I'll post here when the move is complete. Maybe we can schedule a nice fall ride through upstate.

I know it's not the same, but before I moved I spent every saturday night at Red Rock West Saloon on the corner of 10th Ave and W. 17th Street. Man, there were some good times there.

Yes, when I started hanging out there in '96, I used to see this guy there a lot. Always amazed me to see that tat on his neck. Didn't know who he was at the time. Ended up meeting him at a The Horse Backstreet Chopper Smokeout in NC back in 2003. What a cool dude to talk to, even for 15min.

 

I am up for riding with ya, I go to Rhodes now and again also. I am right over the border in NY.

Damn shame what happened to Larrys legacy, tween his friends and family that whole scene is a mess. But speaking of larry, lol vintage MC show is .this Sunday, an off shoot of larrys block party. Good time to be had.

 

Crzy, yeah it is sad. If I was up there I'd make it but we're not scheduled to load up the truck for about another two weeks.

 

Where is is the bike show? Williamsburg?
