PA Route 6
I live in Wellsboro. I don't like 6, east of Wellsboro, but WEST of Wellsboro will be a nice ride. The worst part of your trip will be getting here. I guess you can decide for yourself how you're gonna do that. Your must-stops on 6 will be Colton Point State Park (WEST rim of PA Grand Canyon) and Kinzua Bridge. Here's a loop I really like:
After Colton Point, 6 west 10 or 12 miles to the 1 & only traffic light in Galeton, and turn left. Follow 144 south. At the 2nd stop sign turn left onto 44 & 144 south (concurrent) When they split, follow 44 south. You'll pass Black Forest Inn where you can stop for lunch. After Black Forest Inn, 44 south 10 or 12 miles to a right pointing to Hyner View & Hyner State Park. (Fun twisty road) Just past Hyner Park, turn left & about 5 miles up to Hyner View where you might see hang gliders. If not, it's a great view. Back down the way you went up. Left, and a few miles to 120. Right on 120. Left onto 555 to Benezette where you might see elk. Go to Elk Visitors Ctr. Back to 555 down to 219, and 219 north back up to 6. 6 east 3 or 4 miles, and left at the sign for Kinzua Bridge State Park. Back to 6 east, and you'll see 6 again without Back tracking until you get back to Galeton. Use Wellsboro as a home base for some nice day rides. I can give you other loops too. Sorry, this sounds like alot, but if you take the time to map out what I just gave you, you'll have a great day. I think you should just get to Wellsboro your 1st day, and do this loop the 2nd day. There are also nice rides in the Finger Lakes region of NY which isn't alot more than an hour ride from Wrllsboro. Hope it helps. I know it sounds like alot.

Planning a trip west to PA and making a stop in Wellsboro so appreciate the route. Will definitely check it out.
Any recs for Wellsboro? Think we'll stay at Sherwood or Penn Wells lodge for the night which seems like the best options in town but let me know if you there's another spot that you'd recommend.
