That had to be in Ebensburg at the fairgrounds (I think Blair county ABATE sets up shop there, I have heard many stories like yours.

Last year we where on our way from Johnstown going to a campground near there. 9 State troupers had a checkpoint setup. They waved us in, checked paperwork,etc. One cop came over when the others were done with us, looked at my bike and said he didn't like were I had my insp. sticker? Its on a plate on left side of bike, where the H-D dealer put it. I asked him where he wanted it, he said on front fork, I told him that not happening as I had chrome forks. Others in my group(15 bikes) same place on there bikes, nothing said. Plate had been on there for 4 years, no problems. Got a $150.00 fine in mail, couldn't write while I waited? THE PAGANS RODE PAST WHILE WE WHERE BEING CHECKED, NEVER EVEN TRIED PULLING THEM IN??? Guess they were scared.
Just bought new 2012 street glide, guess where insp. plate is, same dealer same location!
Going back this year, same campground, same road to get there. I don't drink and ride, everything legal on bike. Don't know what pissed officer Overdorf off, maybe too short to ride his own bike. I know he caught hell, my wife was taking pics., while this was going on, and he's the only cop without his hat on, well I sent one to Commander of state police in Harrisburg. He is out of uniform for being out of vehicle without hat. I never get mad, just even. Watch your self there!!!!

I live 10 miles from Johnstown. The legal place for inspection sticker is on the front forks in PA. But almost all inspection stickers i seen are on a small plate on the left side of the bike. The problem that the police have with it, is that it can be moved to another motorcycle. If you live out of state and come in they cant say anything about if your state has inspection stickers or not. I have never had any problem with it on a plate and not the forks. Now the inspection stations could refuse to inspect it for me and make me put it on the forks.

Ummmm...stupid question here...I've been to PA several times on my bike, and never pulled over for anything. Since I'm from Ohio, I don't have any inspection stickers. So, since the bike is registered in Ohio, I'm except from this sticker stuff, right?? I'm thinking that proof of insurance, my operator's license and registration should be all the paperwork I need???
