HD of Seaford, DE - SOLD
From the website:
http://www.hdofseaford.com/
"...will be closing June 12 for a short transition period to new owners. Thank You for Your Business and Friendship since 1976."
rumor is that Rommel's bought it...giving them a Monopoly on the Delmarva peninsula.

I see where Rommel is definitely taking over. Also if you have reward points, you have to use them by August 31st or they are no good. I had to email because of being deployed. My wife is going to have to go get my parts for me so that I can use them. Not sure I am happy about Rommel taking over either.
I am not 100% sure, but 99.9% sure that OC HD was owned by the same folks who owned Seaford prior to Rommels taking over.
It is going to be interesting to see how that plays out over the next couple of years. Rommels is a very large part of the OC Bikefest held at the OC Inlet/Convention Center. Last year it seemed there was "friction" between the two events (Delmarva and OC Bikefest) This year they are promoting each others event and have links to the others web page on the event pages.
Which of their dealerships is closer to OC. Will be down first week of August and would like to by one of them since OCHD is no longer open.

Your correct the dealership was family owned and they are great ppl. Ocean city deal was shutdown simply because they didn't get any business other then during Delmarva bike week. As for Rommel taking them over I have been to the Annapolis dealership and they clearly put money into their dealerships. Not sure if it is good or bad but the family that owned seafood brought a family type personal touch to their customer service which I'm not sure Rommel can bring.
