Oil filter install question.
Well I changed the oil in my 05'Fatboy today for the first time.I put the filter on hand tight
then I tightend it a half turn with the filter wrench.Was this the proper way or did I over tighten
it? Also I forgot to pull the dip stick out before I drained the oil,will this hurt anything?

1/4 turn past hand tight is enough, no harm done.
Pull the dipstick or you will not drain all the oil out. Check and make sure it's not overfull.
