Mobil 1 primary.......
I've been using Mobil 1 v-twin 20w 50 oil as my engine oil with great results.....I've been reading
that it can be used as a primary oil......can I?
Any input would be great
Thanks in advance.

You can use it in all three holes, but there are better alternatives. I use Formula+ in the transmission and primary. Harley just came out with Heavy Synthetic Gear Oil. I'm thinking about giving it a try next oil change.

Harley in the last few years went back to Formula + in transmission and primary. You do not want high detergent additives in oils in boxes without a filter. Not an oil thread comment. An engineering one.

Another oil thread so I’ll chime in.
I use Mobil 4T synthetic because it is JASO approved for motorcycles that have 1 chamber for engine, transmission, and wet plate clutches. Available at Walmart and auto parts chains. Used it in Yamaha motocross bikes for years.
Mobil V-twin in engine.

Formula + in the primary and transmission for 107,000 miles and zero problems.
There might be better lubricants out there for the purpose but I'm sticking with what's been working. If it ain't broke, I don't have to fix it...
