The only place to drain engine oil is from the tank, correct.

There is no drain on the crankcase, the only way to get the oil back to the tank is to run the engine, that will take care of it.

But when the whole tank drains down there, it is more than the scavenge system can deal with sometimes, so you will see oil blowing out the breather hose, don`t panic when you see it puking out...

If the breather hose is still connected to the air filter backing plate, disconnect it from the backing plate and route it down so that it will puke into the pan you put under the bike.

How long has it been since the engine last ran???

chaz976...Tell us something about the bike.

How long have you had the bike, did you just get it?

Has it run since you have owned it?

Has any mechanical work been done on the bike since it last ran?
