Holy Crap...reading these threads has confused me.
I know it doesn't take much. I just need to know 4 things please. The manual is vague and I am in Germany with only German Harley Dealers.
In simple terms cause I am a simpleton, please tell me what to put in my 2008 Harley Rocker C with 1050 miles on it. BTW, my brake fluid has 2 looking glasses for the front and back and I can't see the fluid. However, I don't know where the fluid should hit on the glass bubble. Any ideas?
Please tell me a good choice for the following...
1. OIL - I was going to use Mobile 1 vtwin synthetic 10w40 because I am in a colder climate
2. OIL FILTER - I was just going to use the correct size, not sure of a specific brand.
3. TRANNY FLUID - No idea
4. BRAKE FLUID - Probably Dot 4?
Thanks and sorry I am so stumped. I thought this would be easy!

It is easy,
Mobil 20 w 50 will work for you in the motor, it can't be much colder than Canada. Unless you ride in minus celcius temps use the 10w40.
Harley oil filter will work fine.
The HD Formula plus will work in the tranny and primary.
Brake fluid dot 4 will be good too.

Synthetic is fine in the motor. I think BelRay sells in Europe. I use the Big Twin Tranny oil and in the primary I use the Bel Ray primary fluid. You can use any 10w40 oil in the primary if you want. Lot's of guys here do, Shell Rotella 10w40 is popular in the primary with some guys.

I'll check the cover for the DOT. I believe it is 4 too.
What confuses me is why they have a window if you can't check to see a fill to line by looking through it. Am I missing something or do I really have to take off the cover to see if the fluid is low or good to go? I can and will, but it just seems kinda stupid to even put a window on it. I just don't see a fill line in the windows.
