Default What Fluids do you like?

This is totally subjective (unless someone has data that can prove which is better), but I'm just wondering what oil, tranny, and primary fluid you prefer to use and have had good results? So many out there, SE, Mobile One, Royal Purple, Amsoil, etc...

You must be new so don't take this personal. But please save us and do a search on the subject. You will be here for weeks reading!

I generally get the best results from astroglide.

Sorry, had to post that. I just got thru reading the "what's your favorite sex position" thread and my mind is still "there".

Hopefully someone will get a chuckle out of this instead of the usual groan when another frickin oil thread comes up.

Hard to go wrong with Mobil 1 products. I'm coming up on my 1000 mile service and I know for sure I will be using M1 20w50 in the motor. Still kinda on the fence on the primary and tranny. I will probably go with the Redline in the tranny and still not sure about the primary. Redline makes oil for the primary too but from what I have read some are using automatic transmission fluid, not sure which brand though.

Ignore some of the responses you will get on this subject. We obviously have Blonde's on the forum that's not smart enough to move on and not post if they don't like an oil thread. They don't seem to understand we have new people joining all the time and just want good advise. Some don't understand the search function. Some had rather talk about where do you put your gas cap, or I rode today and got salt on my bike

To answer your question, IMO, Pick a good Synthetic 20W50 V-twin oil and use it in the engine. I prefer Mobil 1 20W50 V-twin. The Tranny IMO it's very important to use a good Gear Oil with Shockproof. I prefer Redline ShockProof Heavy. As for the Primary, Any good 10W40 or ATF will work in there. I prefer still to use Synthetic oil...Just better...IMO. Hope this helps!!

My formula is Mobil 1 in crank, Spectro 6 speed in tranny and HD Formula + in primary. Works well for me. Good luck.

I am running Mobil sync 20/50 in the engine, mobil 1 90 sync gear for primary chain, and mobil 1 140 sync in the tranny.

I've tried other fluids, and so far, like this combo the best.

Bike has 6600 miles on it.
