2011 road glide.while riding oil pressure is about 32 on the gauge. while stopped at a light the pressure drops to maybe 10 on the gauge.is that normal? bike only has 200 miles on it.

 

Just my opinion but yes. As designed big part of cooling is the oil and they have oil jets at base of cylinders that only work at a higher pressure (12-18 lbs) to maintain oil control at idle. If you think deep seems a little backwards but a lot of head is generated at high rpm, Just get the impression its at a stop light? HA Just my opinion

HD oil systems are high volume low pressure as the oil is also acting as a coolant. So, they want the heat dissipated by moving more oil. Hence the gerotor pump design.
