Default It's been a tough 10 months on the mend

Well I hope in on the mend. This has long ten months or so. I was diagnosed with throat cancer back in September. A PET scan also showed an unrelated colon cancer. The PET scan also showed a small metastasis to my lower lung to the throat cancer.
So since January I've had colon surgery resection with about one third of my right side colon removed.
Then in beginning March I had seven weeks of radiation and three rounds of chemo.. With a final four day round of radiation for the lung in May.
Let me tell, if was hell. But I was finally feeling better. All doctors said things looked good so far. Then about three weeks after my last radiation, out of nowhere, I had a stroke. Spent four days in ICU. Back home now. No paralysis, but I do have some language issues. I forget some words. Or they will sometimes be in the wrong order. Or I'll just skip some. This seems improving so far and continues. Doctors can't find anything wrong other I obviously had a stroke.
I can drive ok and went on a short ride my bike, maybe a couple miles. But to be honest I am a little nervous to get on the bike. Do I really feel normal or do i just think i do. Or am a just a little rusty. I am now 70yr old and have riding for 50 years. I would like to ride for a few more years. I am otherwise in good shape for a 70yr who had cancer and has hopefully kicked that.
Thanks for letting me unburden myself a bit. I am usually a somewhat private person

Tom, your will to live is commediable. I have had a lot of issues at 76 but still a lot less then you. My Harley has basically sat for three years now.

Boat is gone, antique truck and car are gone. Little sad all the burnt bridges but there lot of other things to keep one busy.

Good luck.

Thanks. Feeling better. Been taking a few local rides, heat permitted. Whenever the weather finally cools a bit, I hold to hopefully stretch some of those rides out a bit longer.
