RE: Wife going under knife
Pierre,
Sounds like your wife and mine are close to the same age. We hope everything turns out OK for both of you. Medicine has advanced so far (especially cancer research and treatment) over the past few years. They are doing some wonderful things.
Keep The Faith

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife, as Terry said, "medicine has come a long way"... here are thousands of women that are hit with this terrible thing- - I don't like to use the "C" word - - you will see the modern marvels of science and medicine combined to help her get through this- - -my wife went through that at age 35...she is is now a 3 year survivor...we made it through together - - and that is important for you to be there with her every step of the way - - I made every single DR appointment with her, and stayed home as much as I could to take care of the house and cooking - - Do this for your wife as much as possible - - she will need you the most at this point in her life - - as she needs to recouperate- - Best wishes for a quick recovery.....Dana

RE: Wife going under knife
Pierre, My prayers are with you and your wife. My wife is a 2 time cancer survivor. The last time was Breast canceer. She had a lumpectomy and is doing fine. Diagnosed 2 years ago last Oct. Surgery on Thanksgiving weekend 2 years ago. Has had one lump since then, but it was just a cyst and benign.
BTW, losing their hair (if your wife goes through chemo) is a really big deal for them. I had my hair buzz cut with clippers in sympathy and she appreciated it. Also told her how ggod she looked in wigs and hats.
Take care of yourself as well. The role of caregiver is not an easy one. Art
