Default N.E. WA., N. Idaho Bike Painter?

Just tossing this out after over a year trying to line up a decent deal. I'm looking for a paintjob for my rebuilt 2000 FLSTCustom. Need 3 fenders (spare front), 2 bags w/lids and a new fuel tank done. Still need to line the tank with POR15 interior liner (have the kit), primed and have a bad paintjob sanded down on the other parts. Paint the all the parts together with a simple, glossy black paintjob. Nothing tricky or difficult. Just want to get my bike back on the road. I'm on disability but I've saved up $2k for this very basic job. Not looking for anything crazy cool. As much as I'd like that... I simply can't afford it. So again... just looking for a nice, clean, black paintjob on my bike parts.

If you or someone you know might be interested, I'd appreciate a good reference. That said... no tweeker bullsh!t or backyard garbage hack jobs. I don't care if you're working out of your own garage or a pro shop but I've already paid once for someone to lay out a crappy paintjob, with runs, thin spots, etc. in paint and the gloss coats too. The last guy dropped my tank (that's out of production) and cost me another $800 and months of time to finally find and replace it. Damn thing was already painted and rather than let me deal with the dents properly, when I turned my back, he reached in with a ratchet wrench and tried to beat the dent out from the inside, destroying the inner liner and making the dent irremovable, when a simple spot weld/pop out could have fixed it. I just want a simple paint job. An honest wage for some basic, honest work.

I live near Newport, WA and I'm willing to take the parts anywhere from Sandpoint, ID, CdA, ID. to Spokane area. I can probably scrounge up a little more cash but not much. Living on SSDI fixed income sucks but it is what it is. Thanks in advance.

Im in Vancouver B.,C. Dont know if you can make it to here but i can do it for $1500.00 Canadian inc tax. We use PPG base clear urethane. We are a autombile repair and paint shop but have done a few motorcycles. Not a fly by night we have most OEM certification's. Don't mind trying to help out and this is a legit offer. PM me if you are interested.

That's 460 miles (x2) but $1200 American. Great offer for pro shop work. For that price, I could afford the trip but the international hassle's the deal breaker. Dammit. Unfortunately, I don't have the passport stuff to cross the line and back before that was a thing, I was denied entry for DUI''s long since past. Apologies but I'll have to pass, with sincere appreciation.

Wow that's too bad. Maybe you can get a bud to bring it down for you. Anyhow my offer stands if you can get the parts to me.

PM's going back and forth. This may work out but it's gonna be a 12 hr. drive (6 there, 6 home), twice for this to happen in Marysville.

Just kicking this back up the list. Hoping to find someone a little closer to E.WA or N. Idaho. Lost the 2023 season and still couldn't find anyone reliable. Been too isolated over the last decade and lost most of my contacts. Biggest problem with the offers I've gotten (much appreciated, again btw) is round trips to drop off and round trips to pickup adds the miles up really fast. Thanks in advance.

I stumbled on this thread by accident by dropping my phone and picking it up.

Maybe it'd help to post a thread in Off Topics or another forum with more traffic ?

I could've offered a better than 'backyard' paint job, but I just chopped down the tree in the front yard and I have nowhere to hang the parts now. Besides, the spray paint in California sucks.

That's all I got. Sorry.

Appreciate the input and the good vibe. I'm nearly to the point of trying it myself... after the cold season ends. This inflation **** is draining my paintjob stash.
I just know my OCD will ruin the look for me, as I'll see every shortfall every time I approach the bike. Still... I'll loose my mind if I miss another riding season.

I used to restore motorcycles of all types. I can include photos. What I did is form a strong relationship with a local auto painter. He did classic cars as well as luxury vehicles and a few special projects. One friend even used him with great success. I’d do the prep to his specifications and then we’d make an appointment, usually near closing time and paint my tins. He’d do several coats as needed and then clearcoat, sometimes after I applied my decal. Being local, it helped as it took several days to a week to finish.

It’s more about the relationship, respect and timing. You’ll need to visit these places personally and talk with the owner.

Just a thought if you’re other plans don’t work out.
