How is everyone doing with the fires? I hope everyone is safe and far away from the danger.

Right now browsing these boards is my only escape as we sit in a hotel room reading about the houses close to our burning to the ground.

 

Hope everything turns out okay for you. I work in Chula Vista and the Harrris fire is approaching our Eastern Boundaries.

I'm watchin' the news. Had to move MIL out of Fallbrook. Getting the horse trailer ready in case we need to go too.

 

I am closest to the Malibu fires. My dad's office is in the building that caught on fire in that shopping center yesterday so needless to say he cannot go to work today. I have a truck parked out on a vacant lot there and am hoping it has not been burned up but no one can get out there right now. Sure is a lot of smoke in the air. YEsterday rode down to Palos Verdes and you could see the smoke coming off the hills in Malibu.

 

Wish my office would burn down, then I wouldn't have to go to San Clemente right now.

 

I’m in Canyon Country. Last night, looking out my second story window, all I could see were flames shooting into the air. The fire came to within 100 yards of my house. Packed all of our important belongs into our motorhome and took off. Came back this am and all is well. Belongings are still packed as a wind-shift is still possible. Fire storms are pure h*ll and the devastation is simply staggering. My best wishes go out to those close to the fires.
