lakeside is really quit uneffected smoke all around us yet people on the golf course behind my house ok m,y wife and son freaked so my bike is on the trailor behind the truck. one partner of mine lost his house in the ramona area sure he also lost at least one bike..

Well we ended up being OK though it so far. Just a $hit load of ash all over. The wife agreed that if we had to pack up and go she would drive our truck so I could ride the bike and not leave it behind. I rode the bike to work today and could see the flames of the fire as I left the house. It was just a few miles away but I felt alright going to work. By the time I returned home the wind had changed direction and the fire had water dropped on it all day. I feel much safer now. Im going to have a lot of clean up this weekend.

Took the 241/133 to a jobsite in Irvine today in my pick up. Burned as far as you can see..... all the way up to the shrubs up against the tollbooths....my prayers to those who suffered.....

Thanks for your thoughts. We got the reverse 911 call at midnight last night. Turned out to be in error. Thank goodness. The fire is about 5 miles away right now and going away from us now.Maybe we can take my mother-in-law home tomorrow
