Yup. The respective HOG groups will continue as is for a year then merge to create a new one from what I understand.

Anyone know if it was a merger or buyout?

Just curious. Bought both my H-D's from the L.A. store since they had the best deals both times. Hopefully that doesn't change.

For your sake, I hope so. I bought my bike from Fullerton and learned my lesson. They will never see another dime of my money.

It still sucks that we lost our dealership and they are calling it Los Angeles Harley Davidson of Anaheim! I hate being associated with anything Los Angeles! It's NOT in LA and it's NOT in Anaheim! It's in fullerton. It sucks the Anaheim Angels are called Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim now this. What's next?

It is really tough for a small business owner to conduct business these days in the City of Los Angeles. So many small business closures in the past 3 years. Yes some of it is the economy but the City doesn't make it easy on anyone.

According to chatter on FB it looks like L.A. bought out the Fullerton store.

Makes sense since they really had no room to expand at their South Gate location. It was pretty small compared to the MoCo's current trend of larger stores.

Something also to consider is, South Gate has a higher sales tax rate of 9.75%.
Most of LA is 8.75% and Orange County is 7.75%.

Saving of 1 to 2% on sales tax on buying a bike.

It doesn't matter where you purchase you're bike. You're tax rate depends on where you register that bike. This keeps you from going to let's say OC to make a vehicle purchase to take advantage of their low tax rate.

I think it's based on the county you live in.
