This is the new HD bike that I have been waiting for. I was looking at other adventure style bikes but could not get into the feel. The Kawasaki I sat on cut the heck out of my right heel. BMW makes many of their engines in China, Ducati seems like a headache, I am not too keen on the Honda Africa twins.

I'm curious to see how well the MOCO and dealerships honor the warranty on a bike that is going to take a beating offload. Looking forward to its release.

I've always like the looks of HD bikes but haven't owned one. This new Pan America will likely be my next bike. Hopefully my dealer will order several.

I’m looking forward to it myself!!!! I have been doing Adventure riding for the last few years on a Suzuki Vstrom 650..Bike is bullet proof... My local dealer told me that all dealers selling them have to take a special class all about the bike, My name is on the 1 they are getting... I was also told most dealers are only getting one and more will depend on Demographic, Makes since I guess...

I guarantee each dealer is getting more than one PA. There are something like 700 dealers in the USA. Harley isn't going to stop at 700 bikes. They may only get one in the first shipment, but more will be on the way shortly.

I certainly hope you are correct, I'd be discouraged to know my local dealer in Fairbanks, Ak has only on Pan America on the way!

The recent pictures look exactly like the bike that was on display in Daytona this year. It looks very nice. Personally as much as I love Harley Davidson’s I would not want to be the guinea pig on this one. There are amazing tested and proven bikes in this market sector. I hope HD has done their home work and hits it out of the park. My gut feeling is BMW, Honda, Ducati, KTM, Yamaha and other riders are not going to be standing in line to switch. Probably more current HD riders that are looking to add adventure bikes to their stable would most likely be the first buyers.

As always just an opinion.
