Anybody seen a picture of the Pan American with the "Sport Side Cases (link)" installed? Link appreciated.

I'd be cautious with them. I'm not sure how the PA is going to mount them, but I had similar plastic cases on both my RT and my K16, and the top case moved around quite a bit. The metal boxes on my GS/A never budged.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but Harley could expand the line a bit by adding a larger fairing and make this bike an R1250RT like competitor pretty easily. Bring on a sport tourer with a Police variant!

My interest in a PA (or variant thereof) is contingent on alternatives to ADV metal luggage.

ETA Thanks to all for those pics.

A reckless 80 from Mosko should fit.

If it doesn't, they're easy to sell.

Harley's catalog shows a bunch of options.

Silver aluminum cases, huge capacity, makes it look more like a typical ADV.

Black aluminum cases. Exact same bags, but black, I think that would look fantastic on a black bike. If you wanted a "Dirt Bagger", that's the way I'd go.

Sport bags. Less expensive, less capacity, but designed for street touring, they probably wouldn't hold up offroad. But they look great, and look like a good choice for a street-only bike.

Soft bags. Soft bags are way preferable (to me, at least) for off-road adventures. If there's a prospect of the bike falling over, I'd much rather it land on a soft squishy bag rather than on a hugely expensive hard aluminum case. Harley's bags look fine in the catalog, but obviously we haven't seen them yet.

So Harley has an option for everything. I had hard aluminum bags on my Guzzi, but when going to the rough stuff I took them off and put on some cheap Nelson Rigg Adventure bags, and frankly they were great.

But I gotta agree, the Mosko is the way I would go for serious soft bags. I don't think I've ever seen a less-than-10-star review on the Mosko, designed by riders for riders.

I like the hard cases look. Don’t know about the adventure soft cases to be released. Would they hold up to the conditions? Time will tell.
