Got the Mitas E-07 Enduro + trail tires on. Did not go with the Dakar's 'cuz I wanted a little more sticky tire. FWIW, these tires are about an inch taller than the OEM scorchers. Had to remove the front fender extender as there was only ¼" between the lugs and the extender.
The nibs were rubbing on the extender- reminded me of the playing cards held on by clothes pins we used to put on our bicycles to pretend they were motorcycles. These should really improve off-road manners.
Made a bracket for the broken heatshield mount and hoseclamped it on. Since everyone else is getting the header replaced, I may or may not file a warranty claim also. Until I decide what to do, this will work.. Might add a second hoseclamp, might not, it's very solid. Every Harley I've owned, the heatshields were held in place with hoseclamps.
yeah I fully expect to be running aftermarket headers this time next year. I’d not file a claim unless I lost my parts. Your fix will last.
Added backrest pads to the Shad expandable topcase. As I've mentioned numerous times, the HD sport cases are made by Shad. The finish of the two matches perfectly.

How'd you get your hands on one of these? Their German page says Preorder, and their US distributor makes now mention of it yet.
H&B have their own distributor in France and I contacted him. I thought I had just pre-ordered on on his site but a week later it arrived. Quite surprised. Well made. Not hot enough here to see if it does it's job but the design is nice.
I went to the dealer for the Instrument Cluster Recall. I do like the larger fonts, and I also feel like the volume output on the audio has been increased. I normally ride with the volume at 13-14 using the SiriusXM app on the phone, and on the ride home from the dealer today, it felt much louder at 9 or 10. Really nice. I have an old Sena 20S with earplug type ear phones.
They've also changed the pin code screen if you don't have your key. They've added a keyboard type screen next to the code bars so you can just press the buttons to put the code in instead of using the LH indicator button.
I agree the bigger font is better and I also feel that the volume is higher. I thought it might have been my phone update.

I loved my Shad cases. Did that mount to the Harley base plate? I like it has some sides giving the illusion of more passenger wrap around, an easier sell to get the wife on it.

I used 2 of the holes on the HD base plate, and drilled two to mount the Shad base plate. I could probably do something to eliminate the top part of the HD plate, I just haven't got around to it. It's secure as is. I ordered this thru a company in Italy direct for $280.00. Best deal I've had in a long time!

How wide are those pads? I've been searching for options for the Motech by HD aluminum topcase, the wife says the pads are ridiculously firm
