Hey guys, in the midst of a big change.
Trading in my 2018 Fat Bob 114 for a 2022 Pan America Special.
Been reading all the good and bad about this bike, but feel it will be more suited to my current and future riding (I'm getting older and the roads are getting crappier)
What has been the most important small change or addon that you did to you Pan Am that you now can't live without.
Let's exclude the big one, luggage, tires, seat, exhaust etc...

Additional heat shielding, change windscreen (taller), and most would probably recommend a lithium battery, I, myself have not changed the battery yet.

 

Yeah I heard about the battery issues for some, it will be on my list.

 

Additional rear brake lights
Tail lights

I got mine this week. I did the A1 handlebar risers first day. At 6', i was putting my weight on my hands due to the position. Its a much needed improvement.

My next mods are bags (not really a mod), HD adjustable shifter (that dang thing is too small), and probably some sort of lighting. I've always used Custom Dynamics on all my HD's but they provide no fitment for the PA's. So going to look at Denali.

 

Denali is the best way to go. Either the Canbus or DialDim works well.

I don't have a PA, but a tank bag has been a useful add to my big ADV.
