Default PPG paint stripper?

Due to a giant painters mess I need to strip the PPG paint off of a fairing to get back down to gel coat.
I bought a new fairing because of this to get painted (by a different paint source).
Still if my old fairing is salvageable I would strip it down and sell it.
Any advice?

If you have a new fairing and are good to go, why bother with stripping the old one?

Just list it for sale with the known defective paint and let the buyer deal with it. Do not think the effort of stripping would be worth any extra $$$ that you would get for it.

Just my $0.02 worth.

CB ... Exactly what I'd recommend ... Paint job is already a loss plus the cost of stripper etc ... Labor too

I would hate to burden anyone with this mess. I would rather strip it down before I sold it. Just me.

Unless it is some sort of "trick paint" any stripper will do the job ... On tough jobs I have used Aircraft stripper with great success

I understand what you guys are saying" just sell as is" Maybe I should try that and move on. This has just been such a frustrating experience. References alone aren't enough to guarantee success when dealing with people you don't know.
Thank God for Factorymatch I am sure they will do a great job on the new fairing.

I've read good things about Factory Match ... I understand the frustration factor ... Put it behind you ... Grab a cold one :>)

Can be frustrating for sure.

Paint stripper, maybe have to apply multiple times.
Plastic scrapers if you do not already have them
Few pairs of rubber/latex gloves
Tarp or plastic underneath to catch the mess.
Garbage bags to dispose of all the crap.
Maybe getting crap on your clothes.
Chemical smell and VOC fumes.
Paint brush or applicators if not sprayed on.
Water wash to remove residue.
Maybe some wet sanding involved for final paint removal.
More Clean Up.
Couple of days time for labor when you could be riding.
Space taken up for the work area.

Nah - at least for me unless I was going to reuse it, not worth it.

Yeah what Larry said.
