What is the correct way to get the engine,trans,primary bolts to line up, with my engine bolted solid, trans sitting on mounting plate, primary snugged to trans ,the front primary bolts don't line up to engine, appears engine would need to be tilted forward,any help appreciated

1984 fxsb , and it is only off enough that the bolts won't start

 

When ever you start the alignment process the motor is fixed and you should start by bolting the inner primary to the engine and then with all mounting bolts of the trans loose, move the trans around to line it up to the inner primary. once all the inner primary bolts are snug then snug the trans bolts to chassis and then torque all primary bolts and then the trans to chassis bolts.
