I have an 01 heritage softail that has the starter running on after starting it how do I fix this ??? If I shut it off & restart it, it usually goes away I'm thinking solenoid sticking ???

Can you actually hear the starter motor spinning?

Does the starter stop spinning when you shut the ignition off?

 

It ended up being my compensator. Replaced it with the SE comp and problem solved! Starts like a champ and the throttle response has improved.
