Default Quick clutch question

My sportster seems to lug slightly when the clutch is disengaged and moves when it’s engaged. I’ve adjusted clutch to no avail of symptoms. It also has issues when shifting up or down in any gear. Am I correct in my assumption that the clutch is gone? I have heard of the clutch spring grenading, and my shift shaft lever seems a bit loose, wondering if these are related.

For how long?

What happened that made this happen?

Did you adjust behind the derby cover as well?

How's the oil level?

Not too long, it seems it’s been getting progressively worse, I’ve just really been aware of it now because I’ve been having issues shifting more frequently. Non specific to any Up/down, gear selection. The oil level has been fine, I’ve been watching it due to a shift shaft seal leak I’ve been scratching my head over completely. I’ve tried readjusting and it hasn’t seemed to make a difference. Nothing has happened that I would think would cause this, I don’t even usually ride it hard even

Sportsters have been in production since the 50`s, you need to give us more information...

What model year is the bike you are working on?

Mileage?

Engaged is when clutch lever is released, disengaged is when lever is pulled in.

Are you saying the clutch drags when it should be disengaged?

My bad it’s a 2004 1200 roadster. Yeah it seems to drag no matter I adjust it. It has about 24k miles. OH yeah I also meant it will pull when disengaged as well
