Default Best M8 clutch option for 150 squared?

This is one of the last details I need to figure out for my build- which clutch option to go with. Looking at 150 HP/150TQ. The dealer is saying that an AIM lockup should be all I need. I was expecting to have to go with a full blown Rekcluse Torq Drive plus a pressure plate and maybe a basket.

Input please?

I don't like lock ups for a street bike. Wrong application and they can damage the transmission. I recommend the Evo or the Scorpion from Barnett. They both offer a billet basket as well.

20k miles since the build on my scooter and the addition of the AIM, zero issues in a street application. Scooter already had the extra plate but I really like it so far with the AIM.
I keep hearing that they will tear a transmission up but have yet seen the facts show that. Everyone always blaming anything besides themselves, their actions or abilities.

I traded my 140/140 120 big bore running great @ 26K miles. I ran the AIM SDR with the OEM HD clutch basket, and ran it HARD. No problems with the transmission nor the clutch.

What is you stack height set up at? What setting is your air gap? At what RPM do you have it set to lock up?

It sounds like the Aim lockup clutch would do the trick. That said, I'm not "budget adverse" to an upgrade, and as such I think I'm going to go with the Rekluse Torq Drive and billet basket as I'd prefer not to deal with the added clutch engagement weight from high RPM upshifts on a high mileage day.

Exact reason they can cause transmission damage. Constant mesh is designed to have engine unloaded for shifts. If clutch is prevented from doing this. It can have problems completely engaging into the next highest gear. The gear popping out of engagement can round dog and dog ring. With rounded dogs and a possibility of even cracking the dog ring. Compounds the issue. This pressure put on the plate by fly weights can be adjusted out with stack height, but most just bolt them on.

I did the Rekluse torque drive along with a Task basket. Holds over 150 lbs torque and can use 2 fingers to pull in the clutch.

I have about 25000 on the rekluse torque drive but I will go with the Evolution terminator conversion style clutch.
