Default Marbles in the primary

I’ve had this sound for 2 months but she had no issues shifting so I’m thinking it’s the SE compensator but the noise was more in the clutch area so I drained the primary oil and put ATF in it it got a little louder so I took cover back off to look inside I had some movement in the clutch hub bearing so I put a another bearing in I went to HD to get the 2 shims to put behind compensator I bought the dark horse compensator. I got it together and started it up with the cover off still had the noise well I put the ATF back in to ride Monday 74 degrees weather

it was Noisey and sounded like in the compensator this time ….so cover back off started it up and the clutch basket still had the noise this time I replaced the inner primary bearing, seal ,shift shaft gasket and primary chain I started her up and she was quite 🎉🎉. I ordered the hayden

tension AMAZON to replace the SE manual tensioner but I’m sending it back since I fixed the issue I also have the SE clutches& disks and the stiffer spring Witch I thought might be the problem . I put mobile 1 4t 10w/40 in it took a test ride I’m happy to say she quite again in the primary and finding neutral a little easier at a stop.

NOW the MOW compensator I have notice a little vibration in the floor boards and HWY pegs depending how you twist the throttle between shifts I will see how it feels on longer rides and I do notice a little more snappy throttle.

Ended up with some similar troubleshooting and parts swapping on my 14 SG, (also sent my Hayden back, but just because it was poorly made), and ended up with the MOW and OEM chain tensioner. I also noticed some buzzing in my floor boards and found it to be not that bad and ended up getting used to it. MUCH better than feeling the old SE Comp banging around and sounding like it was beating itself up every time I stopped at a red light tho!!

NOW I have noise on the trans side the sound goes away when I pull the clutch in I did find glitter in the fluid I’m going to remove the trans cover to check the throw out bearing it’s only been three weeks since I pulled the primary cover off and no noise

in the main drive bearing . This when I put the man o war compensator, inner bearing, seal, clutch hub bearing and primary chain.

What year? How many miles?
Also if changing type of fluid makes it quiter, when it was quiter before, its not really helping.

I could be the throwout bearing going bad if the clutch was adjusted too tight. It could also be the trop door bearing on the mainshaft.

This is not normal! The throw out bearing is fine soo I’m thinking it’s the main drive bearing

If that's in your transmission oil you're going to need to rebuild the transmission...especially the trap door bearings. All those particles have contaminated the rest of the bearings. You didn't feel any extra vibration while rolling? It's hard to feel a main drive gear bearing with a rough spot with out it being disassembled, without at least the inner primary off. When the main drive gear bearing went bad on my bike my wife of all people heard it grinding while I was backing out of a parking spot and she was standing next to the bike waiting to get on. Not a horrible job but it's important to have the specialty tools or make something similar...and as always a factory service manual is your friend.

As I’ve seen on YOUTUBE I might have to get one of the Jim’s tools but the other tools will be from eBay .It would’ve been nice if it was the inner bearing but seeing
the particle in the trans fluid it’s definitely in the trans.
The only little vibration I feel is in the brake side floor board is from the manO war compensator The SE comp I didn’t have vibration .
