I am getting ready to change the clutch discs on my 2017 EGC Ultra 107 with a hydraulic clutch. i have watched many video on diy for cable clutch models. Are the hydraulic models any different?

I did the same thing a few weeks ago and found that the hydraulic clutch is easier than any of the videos I watched.
The hydraulic clutch does not have any adjustment like cable clutches. so you replace the friction and steel plates then put it all back together.
You’ll need snap ring pliers to remove the little plate with the bearings that holds the pushrod in. I saw conflicting information on reusing the 2 circular springs or not with +1 clutch plate packs. I ended up keeping both in and mine has run just fine. Take a look at your tensioner while you’re in there too and double check the chain tension.
Torque it down and go for a ride! It will make some clunky sounds on the first ride but that’s just the plates finding their spots. After a few miles changing gears will smooth out.

I did recently change the tensioner. Wsn't ready to replace the clutch plates. Will order, plan ahead. Thanks.
Howdy,
Did the clutch plates today. I called Barnett and asked them. Yes, the hydraulic is very easy. No adjustment. And yes, the small twin rings inside , are put back. A new kit includes the rings which help prevent rattling...
Took me 1.5 hrs to take apart and get mostly back together. Ran out of daylight. Another half hour to button up.
Here is another observation and question. I did the chain tensioner about 1500 miles ago. When I drained the primary fluid/oil it WAS VERY DARK. Seemed way darker/dirtier than what it should have been at only 1500 miles.
WHY?
Here's an update...AND ASKING OPINION & SUGGESTIONS....
In October, I did an update on the clutch area. I replaced the disc pack and went with the extra disc.
I replace the fiber & plates,
pressure plate and springs
..
previously I had replaced the tensioner with the Hayden M6.
When I put back together , everything worked GREAT. Loved the increase in lock up upon acceleration.
Here we are today. Upon normal acceleration, everything holds tight. Now, if I hit it hard, once it hits 3K RPM, it slips and jumps up to 4K rpm. Doesn't hold. The MPH does increase but the RPM's mostly stay and steadly increases.
