squeak when I downshift
I have for some time now been experiencing a noise that sounds like a "squeak" when whenever I downshift. No "squeak" when I pull in the clutch or up shift only when I downsift. I have no idea what it could be. Everything works fine, but it puzzles me. If anybody has an idea I sure would be happy to hear it.

RE: squeak when I downshift
Finally had some time to listen to the noise closer. It was the connecting rod between the tranny and the shifter that was sqeaking. Just sitting still without the motor running andmoving that lever back and worth would make the noise. A squirt of WD-40 cured it.
