Don't know, but here's my guess. With the wheel in place, use a piece of string to loop around the sprockets. Allow a little bit for slack. Measure the string.

to Uncle Scroodge:
I think about this method, but, I don't know the length of one tooth of the belt. Maybe, smbd have any science formulae for this action
;^)
I dont want to spend pair hundreds dollars for wrong belt.....

Here is one formula, plus it saves me tons of endless typing babble to explain it.

Use rbabos method to find the total length of belt. I think a harley drive belt is 14mm from tooth to tooth. Convert 14mm to inches and divide that into the length of the belt for the number of teeth. .03937*14mm=.551

to rbabos: Thank for the link. very good program.
to ajayrk: The tooth length is 14 mm exactly?
The situation is - I have no HD belt, and in our city only some old WLA Harleys with chain.... I cant measure tooth's length
Maybe, anybody know exactly step of the teeth ???
I will be very gratefully !!!

Unless someone has a vernier and goes out to measure their belt thichness, this will give all needed info to find the answer you want. It is a long read, however. Harley uses 14 mm. Convesion for inch to millimeter is X 25.4, and devide going the other way.

My center distance is 14.5" I'm using 8 mm. The front pulley is 44 teeth. And primary is 68 teeth. I'm mating my 68 XLH to a Revtech Softail transmission. I can buy the primary setup but it comes with a belt that I won't be able to use. So I'm going to have to purchase a custom length belt. Where would I be able to buy one?

If you can tell me the tooth count of the front and rear pulleys and the center to center distance between them, I should be able to get you the tooth count and length of the belt.
