Default Weird Clutch issue - readjusted itself

Well, I had an issue with my clutch this past weekend and the symptoms baffled me and dealers reasoning doesn't make sense.

Well What happened is about 2 weeks and 1500 miles ago I got my 5k service and the clutch appeared adjusted correctly about 1/8 inch of play in it....

Come this past sunday (90-100 degree's and humid) rode to a poker run to help out, bike sat all day, then I was convinced to a slow race and right before the race my clutch started to grab about an inch from the grip, then after heat 1 (which I won) it started to engage only when it was almost fully released and the 1/8 inch play in the lever was completely gone as someone adjusted it out, and would not fully engage as it would slip in 1st with a little throttle.

I checked cable and it was all right, anyone know how this could happen?

Dealer states clutch over heated but the play in the lever usually get more and not less when the clutch heats up....I am a little baffled, they readjusted and appears to be fine.

The locking nut on the clutch could have been loose and allowed it to come out of adjustment a bit.

Thanks, Thats kind of what I was thinking (The dealer adjusted clutch last), that or the ***** for the disengagement lever skipped a race (this one thought would not be too feasible) this is more understandable then it just over heated....

I can't image how hot it would have to be for the clutch to change that much lol. Anyways, glad it's all in working order now.
