CT to Daytona non stop for a few days.
West Palm for a couple days to visit friends
Down to Hollywood where I lived for a couple years in the 80's
Across to Naples to visit another NY transplant
Back up to Daytona, then home via Blue Ridge and Skyline drive. Probably 10-14 day trip.

I have it a little better than you, weather-wise. I go to bike week in March from Central Pa. Ride down and always hold my breath with the weather. I'm fine with the cold as I'm loaded up with Gerbing heated gear. You one leg has me gong though, you wrote Ct to Daytona straight through. I ride straight thru coming home from bike week which is like 975 miles, leaving 4 am and getting home at bout 7 pm. Do you really ride straight through from CT? Hard riders you guys are if ya do.

The str8 through ride to daytona is 1100 mi. So it's totally weather dependent. Rain/snow. Cold is ok as I am gerbings up also. If not on way down then back up.
Probably doing a trip to Montana/Wyoming in June with a guy from another site.

Map out a full set of alternate plans for the Parkway and Skyline. I live ten miles from Skyline Drive and ride it all the time in the winter, when it's open.
This time of year you know ahead of time when a storm will close the roadway from snow or ice. Come March till late April those surprise storms shut the roads down for a week at a time. Yeah, the guy on the radio said it was going to rain. But at 3,300 feet it's three inches of ice that stays in the northern shadows for a long freakin time.
On the other hand everything is closed, zero traffic, no one around, very few rangers, it's the best season to ride. Just bring your own coffee, food and toilet paper.
