Anyone headed to the smokies this week, I'm heading there Wednesday morning solo, maybe meet somewhere to tag with. I live around Akron, Ohio. Let me know, summers going fast and I need some air.

 

Enjoy the ride. The Mrs. and I were down there couple weeks ago for 8 days and still never enough time for all the good riding. Be sure to hit Moonshiner 28 and even run up 441 towards Gatlinburg and ride up to Klingmans dome.
You could also take 129 and pickup the Foothils Parkway to Gatlinburg then back on 441.
We didn't get time for that or Cherahola skyway as we spent some time on the BRP and touring Biltmore.

 

You can ride for days around there and not hit all the great spots

The Biltmore Tour is quite pricey :>(

 

Your gonna like the riding, had a 10 day vacation mid July and had a blast. Always have a rain gear, just in case the weather changes and keep an eye on your fuel level which most routes will have no fuel stops on the parkway. Good luck and safe riding.

 

Just got back from there..It was fantastic .... and we did everthing what Capttawes said. We did the Dragon also while we were there. Recommend Cades Cove also..

 

The dragon is great. My wife and I rode it July 5. Stayed in gatlinburg. Left dragon, it started raining for the cherohala. Could only see 100 feet. Oh well we done it anyway. Wanna do it again, but hopefully see it. So much riding down there, too little time
