Sorry, can't help you with your request, but would really encourage you to take a trip to Sedona, 2 Hrs North of Phoenix, then follow the oak creek canyon to Flagstaff. Absolutely beautiful trip, but you have to enjoy many sharp corners on the 2 lane road. Google the area and you'll see what it looks like.

What's "NMW?"

The area you've picked is very hot during those 2 months. Plan on 115F days and 105F nights. It's all desert where you're looking.

Just about any HD dealership is going to have a rental fleet.

Some good motorcycling roads in Arizona will be around Sedona, Hwy 89A.

Be sure to visit Tombstone. You won't need your gun, (I hope!)

The area you are looking at is awesome to ride...in Oct/Nov/Dec...

eagle rider does rentals but i wasn't happy with the old bikes they usually have. i have also rented from Harley davidson dealer directly which was very nice because they have current year motorcycles. the only downside is that not all dealers rent. you can look it up on the harley davidson website. the only downside to rentals is that you get a factory bike so unless the dealer puts on some parts you will not have highway pegs not backrest or luggage rack. and the insurance can get a little expensive. i rented the ultra limited through the dealer twice and it was really nice but again you can't get any changes on the bike.

Renting can be fun but a downside is when you stop to look at the sights, the meter is still running while in the parking lot.

Buddy Stubbs has 2 dealerships in Southern AZ that rent. I have looked at their program online and it seems pretty decent. I would certainly recommend going through Sedona and up to Route 66, maybe that big canyon thing and then across interstate 40 to the rest of your trip. Definitely a very warm time of the year.

Thanks guys, any suggestion on where to ride be great. Was going via Phoenix, then down to the titan missile site in Green Valley, off to Tombstone, over to Galveston, then up to Dallas, Houston, Ok City then to Albuerque and Los Alamos then down to Fort Deming and back into Arizona.

I checked the weather patterns for Arizona that time of year was:-
Aug Sep Oct
Average high in °F: 92 89 87
Average low in °F: 66 65 61

Galveston
And in Texas:
Average high in °F: 89 89 87
Average low in °F: 80 80 76

Oklahoma City
Jul Aug Sep
Average high in °F: 94 93 85
Average low in °F: 72 71 63

I reckon that is good weather about what our summers are here in Australia.

I have my trip saved in the HD Harley Ride Planner if any one wants to have a look and advise if I've got it wrong just need to email it to anyone who is interested in providing feedback.

I'd recommend Eagle Rider. If you go the membership route, you'll get just about the cheapest daily rental rate you're going to find.

There are several dealer in the area that rent as well as an Eagle dealer. i have rented in Arizona from eagle and it was awesome. Your weather may be accurate but you will find that Arizona and West Texas to be unbearably hot during that time. it is a long ride across the desert southwest and even at 90 degrees, the sun will cook you. it is the desert. we rode to ht e grand canyon and it was 100 degrees on memorial day in Phoenix yet 40 degrees at night at Williams. Good luck!
