My Grandma made homemade pasties when I was a youngster. She solved this dilemma. She would add the gravy inside the pastie and then baked them. The ketchup was the iceing on the cake. By the way, Hunts is better then Heinz.

I never! The next thing will be some PC fool pushing out a diet, low fat, vegetarian pastie with low salt ketchup.

I'm sure my wife crossed it many times by car and we crossed it together in a car sometime in the 80's but neither has done it by bike. We're both seasoned riders and she is fearless so should not be an issue. We may or may not even make it to the bridge depending on time and weather while there. Not coming up or heading home that direction as I avoid Chicago like the plague!!!!

H-58 from Munising to Grand Marais is a must ride (IMO, best road in MI). Minor's Castle is just outside the Munising city limit, this will give you a taste of the Pictured Rocks shoreline or you could take the cruise to see it from the water. Farther East in order are...Tahquamenon falls, Soo Locks and Mackinac Bridge. Other nice roads in the Gwinn area are M-35 toward Marquette and County 550 (Big Bay Rd) from Marquette to Lake Independence.
