Looking at routes from Nashville Indiana to Athens Ohio.
Not a fan of interstates but what is 275 south around Cincinnati like?

I would try to hit it at off peak hours, I avoid Cincitucky as much as possible.

 

Same here. Cincinnati sucks. Otherwise, US50 is a great route for you.

Take whatever route you want from Nashville to Lexington. If you have time to travel 2 lane roads....from Lexington, head northeast to Maysville, KY. Cross the Ohio River at Maysville and head north. Take OH 32 east to Athens or go a little farther north and take US 50 through Chillicothe to Athens. You can take US 62 from Lexington all the way to OH 32 or US 50....or any roads in this area are a good ride.
