You can take 15 down and cross over on 460 I think it is. You can do skyline drive and top part of BRP. 11 runs parallel with 81, so you can jump on and off.

Take 15 to 50 to 219 that would be the most scenic route

To get to 15, I'd get west on 17 where it splits off 81 and get on 220 south through Penn to 15. There's a cool little cafe/family restaurant on 220 in a town with a funny name! It's got a model train running around just under the ceiling. Sorry about the town name...its on the southwest corner of the main xroads in that townwithafunnyname.

Hey Ken, if you've never ridden in WV, you really don't know what you're missing. I discovered WV a couple years ago, and I go down there 1 or 2 times a year for a ride. You'll love it. Even the interstates are nice fun rides. Nothing like 81 down through Scranton, and that mess from Harrisburg & south! Go a little further west, and enjoy the ride! My suggested route ---
-- 81 down to Binghamton
-- 17/86 west to 220 (at the 2nd Sayre PA exit)
-- 220 south all the way to Cumberland MD
(it'll be Interstate 99 when heading down to Cumberland)
-- Interstate 68 west to Morgantown
-- Interstate 79 south to route 19, and ride across the New River Gorge Bridge. (Visitors center just before you get to the bridge. Gotta stop there for a great view of the bridge.)
-- Then 19 down to Interstate 77, to Wytheville
Just another suggestion!

Geezer, I have ridden and it is a great state for riding...

Will defiantly look into this option as I never gave W VA a thought for the ride down.
