Million Dollar Highway Colorado

Hi can anyone tell me the official designation eg highway 32 for the million D H Colorado as I plan to do it next year

I just rode it, great highway but BEWARE THE ELK!!!!

I rode thru there a few weeks ago, they have a stoplight on the MDH, one side waits while the other goes etc. It was a looong wait. Just so you know. Its near the north end.

Once I got thru and down to Durango, it was dusk....and I saw some bikes headed north towards what I came thru, to me, not a road I'd want to be stuck on when it gets dark.

Just a heads up.

Run this south to north....great road, easy ride. 1/2 way thru, it gets really, really scenic. Super cool.

Always check highway report road condition. It can change daily. I was stuck waiting 3 hours between Silverton & Ouray years ago due to rock slides. Also been closed due to fires. But well worth the inconvenience.
Great KOA north of Ouray.
