question about KY state route 25 along I-75
Planning a trip in the early summer to go from southern Indiana to northern TN near Caryville. I will probably take I 275 south to get into Kentucky initially. I want to avoid I-75 as much as possible and was considering taking local roads to get to Ky 25, which for the most part runs along I-75 most of the way down. Does anyone have any input/info on any section of KY 25, and whether this is a good alternative in general or not? Obviously I'll get construction data for it before I go, just wondering about segments of the road in general that are good or I should avoid for one reason or another. I know it'll take longer than just zipping down I-75 just like most state routes but that's okay.

25 is a good route We use it from time to time from London KY into TN. 75 is not bad either taking 25 you can bounce back and forth between the two. If you have time and want a scenic ride at Lexington take 27 down then cut back over to Caryville.
Either route you take you have a great ride.
One year we had extra to time and part of 75 was closed south of London do to rock/mud slide so we spent an extra day just bouncing around on 25 found a lot to see. If you get down that way Wildcat HD at London is always ready to suggest routes.

27 is also a good road and carries far less traffic than 25, but it isn't nearly as straight a shot as 25.
