Nova Scotia
That's a tough question. The Province has eleven(what I think they call) destination Trailways (AAA will know) and you can spend weeks on them. Halifax has so many great sights, attractions, and bars that you can be there for days easily. I've been there many times, from a few days to a few weeks at a time, and there is always something new to see.
If you're not a member of AAA, I'm sure the province has a web site.

I'm in Cape Breton now. We are planning 7 days here. So far, everything is great but the roads can be rough in places. You can get alot of info online and very useful books sent to you. The Welcome Centers are great to find info andmake reservations.

I live in CA - did a fly&Ride last July - Picked up the bike in Boston - rode to Portland MA and took the "Cat" over to NS. We had the bike for 8 days and a few more would have been nice - Rain on Day one in NS and on day 6 - For ME - If I were to go back I would spend more time in the "Peggy Grove" area and the remainder in "Cape Breton" areas... We stayed in the Caboose http://www.staynovascotia.ca/accommo.../476/index.php Very cool place to stayin Tatamagouche...
I spent 7 days in Nova Scotia and only scratched the surface. We spent the first part of the trip on the southern and central end and the last part on the norther end and Cabot Trail. It was agreat trip.
I think you mean "Peggy's Cove" which is where a very picturesque lighthouse is. I haven't ridden my motorcycle there. I too live in SoCal. I've been all over the Province since I have family in theQueensport / Canso area. I've been around the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton as a kid. I'd like to do it again...on a scoot. Beautiful area!
