Mardi Gras is February 16, 2021. The gulf coast is nice in February.

Near 70 now and I'll admit to being a "wuss" when it comes to riding once the thermometer drops below 50-F!

Michigan is NOT a state that should be considered "rider friendly" much after mid-October or before early April, and especially so after the snows start and the salt has been dropped on our roads.

When you're in SW Florida, if you have time, ride the Tamiami Trail from Naples to Miami. Real Florida at it's best. 80 mi. ride, mostly 2-lane with a lot to see along the way.
If you want a quicker ride back to the W. coast...run up to Lauderdale from Calle Ocho and hop on "Alligator Alley", ( aka: I-75) and rip back across to Naples about as fast as you wanna ride.

I will ride till the salt hits the roads. Snow states aren't where you want to be, just have to go south.

Great thread, I plan to be living in SW Utah by this time next year where we expect to get in a lot more year around riding. Since air travel is not currently appealing we're thinking road trip to south TX over xmas/new years break. At that time of year it's likely we'd not even get down our steep driveway and I've yet to ever trailer my bike so it may end up just being in the truck.
