In this area a trip to the store can turn into a 5 hour ride

Didn’t see Big Walker Lookout and Country Store on the list, but an interesting stop and fun backroads if you are riding in the Wytheville, VA area.

I've planned for the folks from TN to meet me in Marion, VA and we;'ll do four full days of riding on the "Claw Loops".
Definitely a longer ride for me but there's only one of me and there's three of them.

I'm gonna watch the weather forecast for that week and a half and if it's "sketchy" I may end up trailering to WV and then riding the 3 or so mile ride from there and visit with the relatives and do "two birds with one stone"

Thank You!
I've been reading and printing maps and the more I think about it I know we'll somehow find ourselves lost before our four days of riding are completed.

I just discovered that we (the wife and I) did the "Back of the Dragon" a few years ago and didn't even know that we were on it!
Great scenery and some really, curvy hilly roads.

My mom's side of the family came out of the Hillsville area. Gorgeous country and great rides.

If you are in the Tazewell VA area take a ride to Burkes Garden, Virginia's highest valley It's not real curvy but it is a interesting ride, almost back in time and nice scenery.
