In recalling a group trip the Oark Cafe came to mind. Then another poster mentioned it, with a nice pic.

Not as touristy as I expected. Above average food but the pies...as a self titled tourist trap pointer outer, it's worth a longer than normal pit stop. among the best ever road trip pies.

Stopped their for a refreshment, a older lady asked if we wanted a picture of us in front of the store. Said yes and she instructed one of the workers to go outside and take our picture. Defiantly worth the stop

 

They have numerous different pies on any day, however if you call first thing in the morning and request a pie flavor they do their best to accommodate by the time you get there at noonish. Especially if you are wanting buttermilk pie, you need to call ahead. You won’t be sorry!

 

I think their burger is pretty damn good!!
