MyRadar. And if you have the BoomGTS it will show up in your Apps.

I was a weatherman in the Navy. I second the My Radar App.

My go to apps are:

Weather Bug for forecast
My Radar for instant view

These two have helped us save and better enjoy rides many times now. We have had to chance routes, but not cancel rides. After all it all about the ride, right!

It’s great to see just how small cells are and realize you can run through and Out of heavy rain for example in just two miles instead of stopping or suiting up.

One trip to the Florida pan handle was a success by riding west to Knoxville and south through Chattanooga instead of through SC and right into a storm. This kept us dry and safe and was part of the adventure.

I'll second the MyRadar app. It's generally pretty accurate. Ride into the colors and you get wet Also, it looks good on the new touring bike screen..

Another MyRadar (Pro) user here…

Just last week I used this to successfully navigate around a massive thunderstorm moving through my area. I arrive home from my commute with my garage door open and my wife waiting with multiple towels at the ready.

She was shocked to find me arrive dry - it would’ve been a very different scene without MyRadar Pro.

I downloaded the free MyRadar app but haven’t used it yet. Just curious. What do you all like about MyRadar (free or PRO version) vs. something like The Weather Channel? I have used the radar feature on TWC to avoid storms in the past so I completely understand the benefits of seeing radar. I have a trip starting next week from Tucson up and across northern New Mexico and southern Kansas and Missouri and then up to Chicago. Sure wouldn’t mind having any extra technology to help me avoid nasty storms (and any tornadoes!) across Kansas and Missouri. Appreciate your thoughts.

More than the forecast - it provides realtime and updating radar coverage of the weather overlaid on a map. Allows you to see what is and where it’s affecting your ride.
