Not really a roadtrip but a question.
Im curious. I lost an old friend in 2011, in a head on crash in Jonas Ridge NC. We went and put up a cross that I built in honor of him. A group of us used to ride there every July. Its been a few years since we got together and made the trip due to life and the group has gotten smaller

. Im curious if anyone rides up that way and could tell me if the cross is still there? It was located at NC 181 around mile marker 24. It was in sort of a “S” curve. Im sure it may be grown up around it, because I always cut the growth back every time we went. Just wondering if cross is still there? Thanks.

 

I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. That is a nice memorial.

I'll look the next time I ride up that way, but it will be a couple of months.

That area was impacted by the hurricane. Hopefully the tree itself is still there.
