South of Riviera Beach is 80 west to rt 27 south and then to rt 997 to holmstead where it meets the S Dixie hwy to thye Keys. Totally by passing the humanity south of West Palm.

So far today just chilling, pounding beers/jack and coke. Eating ribs that were simmering on low heat all day long and taking in the Jville sights. I'm a country boy and its all a bit much. J ville is huge. As long as your rested, alert, safe and try to anticipate the traffic flow its all good. I don't spend much time in the fast lane. Averaging 65-70 MPH safely.
gawd that sounds good after being on this here tug for the past week and a half!!
hope you're enjoying the trip.

Bad, I am glad everything is going good. Continue to ride safe and well i can say that the keys is looking good right now. Its been perfect outside again. Should stay in the low 80's this week. Also i must correct myself with the dennys downstairs, its the waffle house that is. dennys is right up about 30 seconds from that. either way good stuff on your end of stay.
Enjoy your ride. see you in the keys.

Headed out from J ville 10:30am and made it to Stuart around 4pm and met with some more friends (about 300 miles) for a couple hours and more food/beer. After visiting the grave site of a good friend headed out to Riviera Beach for another day/night with some good friends and a great Easter Dinner of turkey/ham/mashed potatoes/gravy/peas/ pumpkin and cherry pie. And more beer!

The I-95 South between J ville and Stuart/Riviera Beach was decent in most places and construction areas off and on with concernable surface grade changes.

Heading out to Key West in the morning with a hopeful stop at Marathon fishery for a world reknown "Lobster Rubin".

back in Jacksonville. Whew! What a ride its been so far. And I am lbster red. Key West is a great place to visit. Stopped at Petersons HD in Miami for an oil change on the way down and to have a look around. It was easy off and easy back on the hwy. Took I95 down because everyon wanted to see Miami(I don't know why). I reccomend Floriday TPK but as somneone mentioned make sure to get a sun pass as it allows you to drive straight through. I rode my sidecar bike and it was smooth sailing thus far. On a regular bike it'll be breezed. Met 3 riders in Key West from Detroit who rode down and stayed at the same hotel (Days Inn). Nothing fancy but either was the price. 104$ a night. Every where else was significantly more and it was only 3 miles from Duval/Front/Greene etc streets.

We drove straight from Key West to Jacksonville. We did stop in Playtona and saw the race track and had a burger at Brick Yards. It was delicous.

I'm thirsty and my butt is sore. Speaking of sore butt I don't think I seen one gay person. I was told the key west area was there home 20. There were some wildly attired and drunk individuals all over the place.

I really enjoyed all the rocking wild clubs and open street atomosphere. Went to Sloppie Joes, Boars Nest,Irish kevins,Rum Bar,BO fish shack, and too many others. Did see the sunset and street Mallory Square. Went to Mel Fishers museum and Pirate Soul. Both were out standing and worth the time and money. The best part of the Days Inn was it was like 1 mile from a prestine and hardler used beach. And whose parking was always available. 25 cents per 1/2 hour.

Also when down town (Front Street and Duval)go to the parking area down Greene street 2 blocks down off Duval and Green. 10$ all day/night and there were special concrete sectionals that were great for bikes who don't want people bumping into them with their car doors. We used it every day. Other wise parking is hit and miss. Mostly miss down by Front street, duval etc...

Will show photos when get them. Now where is that frosty cold beer?

Sounds like your having a great ride. I can usually take off a couple or three days at a time. I need to save up a little more time and take a 2 week ride.
You are a lucky man Bad. My wife has been wanting to go to the keys for a couple years now. When you get back, I'll have a few questions for ya.
I like to see people spreading the wealth.
Ride safe. Try to behave.
