Bad,
Where are ya, hope everything is ok. Didnot hear from you last night, hoefully just because of no puter access.
I got my Eglide back from Laconia Harley and she is all ready to go in a couple of weeks

In Jacksonville,Fla now. Left NC at 5:30PM Thursday and rode about 250 miles and got a hotel at mile marker 109 (I think) in South Carolina at 9:30pm. 69$ and scramble eggs and home made bisquits/sausage gravy included. Headed out this morning at 8:30am road the last 240+ miles or so. Made shiety time because of all the traffic. Road surface conditions in SC were horrible for the most part. Did arrive in J town about 1-1:30pm Today, Friday. Heading to Stuart/Riviera Beach tomorrow morning. Left NH and it was 35-40. Hit NC and it was 70-75 degrees. Its 80 degrees here. Smatterings of road construction here and there too.
While congested I didn't feel as put upon as I did driving thru the North East when I headed to NC from NH. Peope seem to be generally more polite in the South. No tuner car racing on that leg to Jacksonville.
My **** is sore. Haven't been on a bike since December.
I just rode from CHS to Key West three weeks ago. There is a huge amount of construction going on on I 95, so the Florida turnpike is a much better way to go, except as stated -- watch your gas stops. The frequent toll booths are a bummer as well as expensive - I think it is $12 +/- from begining (FortPierce to Florida City) to end. I found that if I put dollar bills in my top left shirt pocket, I could fumble them out one at a time with my right glove and deliver them to the booth attendant while keeping the clutch in with my left. (I still sometime have trouble finding neutral quickly!!) I tried to buy a one day SUNPASS to avoid stoppimg, but you have to buy a transponder and several months time, so that didn't work. It is a beautiful ridde -- I have done it twice.
Bad, glad to hear from you, sounds like you have had a exciting trip. Look forward to seeing you pics. have you gone 95 the whole way or secondary roads too. how is J vile, busy.
sorry for the questions, but we leave from NH to Key West in two weeks and getting a bit nervous. HAVE FUN

That is Boyds campground. Nice enough, and security at thegate at night.
That lagoon in the pic was about 5-6 ft deep and full of snapper that wouldnt touch a hook.

So far today just chilling, pounding beers/jack and coke. Eating ribs that were simmering on low heat all day long and taking in the Jville sights. I'm a country boy and its all a bit much. J ville is huge. As long as your rested, alert, safe and try to anticipate the traffic flow its all good. I don't spend much time in the fast lane. Averaging 65-70 MPH safely.
Yes J ville is busy with construction but the traffic was moving. Heading to Stuart/Riviera Beach tomorrow. I have gone I 95 all the way. I read another post with regards to the Florida TP have to see where that is because I do not want to stay on I-95 south after Riviera Beach. South of Riviera Beach is 80 west to rt 27 south and then to rt 997 to holmstead where it meets the S Dixie hwy to thye Keys. Totally by passing the humanity south of West Palm.

That all sounds great, have a drink for me
your trip on 80, 27 and 997 looks like a nice ride.
we are now thinking of getting the girls in Lauderdale and heading to Florida City at the end of the FTP for the night, or Key Largo. Money is about the same so might take the extra hour to key largo, who knows.
Keep the updates coming and enjoy
