Straight and Relatively Boring
Took my wife out for about 100 miles yesterday. We drove US 192 between Melbourne and St. Cloud. Wasn't very exciting, but gave us a chance to see what it'll be like when we decide to start taking longer rides together. She did great and never complained of being uncomfortable, so I'm very optomistic about future rides.
Anyway, the route we took wasn't interesting, but was good experience.

Just a suggestion, but when you start doing the long rides, make the wife the navigator. Every morning or evening i write out the directions of the roads we are taking.....i write down route number as well as cities and towns close to where the turns will be during the day and i give it to the wife.....it will make her more of a partner on every ride and she will probable enjoy it more and feel she is contributing.
I must say that after writing down the directions for the day i usually remember all the roads we are taking.....but why tell her.......

Get her involved if she wants. My wife likes to direct me to the next turn/road/exit and it is always nice to have another set of eyes... It is nice to have a companion.

Next time you ride that route.. right turn on Nova rd before you hit St Cloud run it all the way to 520 (King St) that will take you back into Cocoa beach, About 2 miles after you make a right on 520 off of Nova Rd is a little place on the right called Lone Cabbage.. airboat rides and a bar.. have Bands every Sunday playing there. Good place to stop...
